Rock Blaster

ROCK BLASTER

ABSTRACT:

Nowadays, labors in the mining field are not getting sufficient time for their extra work. To reduce their pressure and to ease their work we have created a kind of an explosive which contains cyclonite. This is a very effective one and doesn’t require any sought of a mental or physical stress. This effective device is named by us as “Rock Blaster.”

Rock Blaster works on solar energy. This device which contains three main components is packed in a black box which is made up of alloy and is a light weight box. This product not only eases the pressure of labors but, also reduces the expenses. Cyclonite is cheaply available and mining industry too.

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND:

The Rock Blaster was created mainly to help the labors who all are working in hilly areas and mainly mining industries for disintegrating rocks. This Rock Blaster was created to make the work load easy for the labors. It is necessary because in all the countries for breaking rocks they are using dynamites but it is not very much effective. To break a certain amount of rocks they are using many dynamites. This Rock Blaster is bursting with the help of solar cells which connected to a filament so it is very effective and not required to use many dynamites to break the rocks.

RATIONALE:

There are many other dynamites which break rocks but, they are not very effective and it is expensive. This Rock Blaster is inexpensive and it is very effective. To break the little amount using three or four dynamites but, if we use Rock Blaster it is interesting to know that only one is required. Rock Blasters are used in hilly regions to clean up the lands for further construction works and upcoming project works. It is widely used in mining industries like coal mining, etc. One Rock Blaster can damage as many as five to six rocks at a time defending upon the work load.

OBJECTIVE:

The main aim to develop this project was to help the labors who are all breaking rocks. This is a kind of explosive and it is used to burst the rocks.

The dynamite or the whole case consists mainly of three parts in which the filament takes time to get heated, therefore time is saved here.

The dynamite or the explosive consists of cyclonite which is not very costly and is very effective.

SCOPE:

The Rock Blaster was designed firstly, to help the labors to make their work easy. Secondly, it saves time. The Rock Blaster will look like a box and it contains three main parts inside mainly the solar cells, cyclonite and the filament is adjusted between the solar cells and the cyclonite. To avoid immediate bursting the whole system is placed in a sealed box and coolant is activated inside the box and it is removable.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION:

Labors are suffering due to heavy work load in the mining industry and construction areas. To overcome, this problem and for faster work speed we have created the Rock Blaster. It is interesting to know how the cyclonite in the device reacts to explode. The project we have created can become a great profit to the mining industries as the as the cyclonite materials are less expensive. Now, the labors can get time for other personal works after the work hour. People working in the coal field will get a big relief from this work load.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

The device is cylindrical in shape and has packed cells at the top. The closely packed solar cells are well implanted on the top of the device. The constituent parts are the solar cells, filament and the cyclonite. This device is very unique as it stands just 15cms and 4cms in radius. The whole device is cased in a box which doesn’t allow light to enter in as we have understood that the solar cell got activated due to sunlight. The box has an opening which has pores that allows light to pass in like beams.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION:

Rock Blaster will burst by absorbing heat from the atmosphere. The heat from the atmosphere was absorbed by solar cells. Solar cells are getting heat and that heat is absorbed by heating filament. The cyclonite is getting heat and it is bursting. To activate the Rock Blaster first we have to take that from the box and we have to place in the target. The Rock Blaster will help for labors who all are working in the hilly areas. It is very easy to use. If we keep the Rock Blaster in one place and that place will burst within few minutes.

PRODUCT TESTING AND CONCLUSION

TESTING:

The product was tested to determine the strength of explosive. If we compare other explosive with this it will burst better than other explosives. It was first tested in low heat, it has taken more time to burst. But in maximum heat it dint takes more time. This test was repeated for many times but the result was same. In low heat areas solar cells are taking time to absorb the heat fully. But in maximum heat areas it is absorbing fast. We have checked by taking the filament out but it doesn’t burst because heat is not going to cyclonite. And we tried by taking the solar cells also it doesn’t burst. Finally we have undertaken a test with improved solar cell, filament and a powerful cyclonite in a maximum heat areas. It was successfully burst and it caused more damages.

CONCLUSION:

This Rock Blaster is able to burst many rocks and make the rocks into many pieces. Lifting is very easy because it is small and we can take this to any place where we want.

It is very easy to maintain. It is not to much big. Due to its power it causing so much damage we have to move within time.

RECOMMENDATION:

The feasibility of coolant has to be considered as it is removable. The reliability of the product can be made better by attaching a good filament made up of probably tungsten. The metal box should be made light proof as the solar cells get activated immediately.
